Losing a Home

An intimate reflection on displacement, memory and belonging, the exhibition examines the emotional and spiritual weight of losing a home, where physical absence converges with inner dislocation.
Through layered paintings, sculptural installations and personal archives, Paul Majek explores how both bodies and buildings retain traces of care, distress and memory. Presented within the evolving environment of House of Annetta as part of the Backyard Biennial, the exhibition speaks to wider experiences of displacement and migration, and to the search for belonging and the possibility of finding home within oneself.
